2020 Health Victory for Plant Diet

On February 25, 2020, the International Journal of Epidemiology published the conclusion of a study commissioned by the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health and the World Cancer Research Fund which found that women who drink cow’s milk could increase their risk of breast cancer by as much as 80 percent in comparison with women who drink soy milk.

This study remains significant because it serves as an example of the Truth unraveling.

In the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, doctors smoked cigarettes and advertised healthy benefits of smoking such as relaxation.  (See below 1949 commercial “More Doctors Smoke Camels Than Any Other Cigarette.”)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCMzjJjuxQI

Then, in 1969, the Public Health Smoking Act required all cigarette packaging to contain the statement:  “WARNING:  THE SURGEON GENERAL HAS DETERMINED THAT CIGARETTE SMOKING IS DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH.”  Finally, doctors gradually ceased smoking and began warning patients of health dangers.

Since 1970, we have heard about the healthy benefits of the “new tobacco,” ie, meat, poultry, fish, dairy and eggs from Big Pharma doctors and Big Ag companies, but Preventative Medicine doctors and educators such as Neal Barnard, MD of the Physicians’ Committee for Responsible Medicine; Michael Greger, MD who predicted the current global pandemic in 2006; T. Colin Campbell, PhD, biochemist and Professor Emeritus at Cornell University; Caldwell Esselstyn, MD, heart disease expert who treated President Bill Clinton; Michael Klaper, MD, NASA nutrition advisor; Joel Kahn, MD, one of the world’s top cardiologists; Garth Davis, MD, Ironman triathlete; Ellsworth Wareham, MD, centenarian and one of the earliest practitioners of open heart surgery who practiced until age 74 and trained residents until age 95; et al. risked ridicule and contempt from their colleagues and the general public.

Preventative Medicine doctors and educators; Nonhuman Rights advocates, academicians and lawyers; ethical environmentalists and plant based nutritionists deserve Respect and Praise for their Accomplishments, Courage and Passion in the arenas of Education and Awareness, Advocacy and Legislation, and Rescue and Sanctuary to save the planet; solve the human sickness, sick care, financial, pandemic crises; eradicate world hunger; and end unnecessary violence and suffering (and consequential hatred and discrimination) while Big Pharma, Big Ag and cohorts focus on their next profit motivated venture, covid vaccines.

Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, Carl Sagan, Mark Twain, Thomas Edison

It remains old news that the elimination of animal agriculture, factory farms and CAFOs can
(1) save the planet;
(2) solve the sickness/sick care/financial/pandemic crises;
(3) eradicate world hunger; and
(4) end unnecessary violence and suffering.

The issue is what to eat.  For this reason, I will be making more videos about tasty, delicious, plant based food and easy recipes soon.  (This year I have been preparing an exciting surprise project and searching for a working farm for the Rescue and Sanctuary…both coming soon!)

“Taken on the whole, I would believe that Gandhi‘s views
were the most enlightened of all the political men of our time.”
Albert Einstein, 1879-1955

“In my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being.
The more helpless the creature, the more it is entitled to protection by man from the cruelty of man.”
Mahatma Gandhi, 1869-1948

“I want to realize brotherhood or identity not merely with the beings called human,
but I want to realize identity with all life, even with such things as crawl upon earth.”
Gandhi

“When I see a cow, it is not an animal to eat, it is a poem of pity for me and I worship it
and I shall defend its worship against the whole world.”
Gandhi

“Ethically they had arrived at the conclusion that man’s supremacy over lower animals meant not that
the former should prey upon the latter, but that the higher should protect the lower,
and that there should be mutual aid between the two as between man and man.
They had also brought out the truth that man eats not for enjoyment but to live.”
Gandhi

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
Gandhi

“A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission
can alter the course of history.”

Gandhi

“I hold flesh-food to be unsuited to our species.
We err in copying the lower animal world if we are superior to it.
I do feel that spiritual progress does demand at some stage
that we should cease to kill our fellow creatures for the satisfaction of our bodily wants.”
Gandhi

“How smart does a chimp have to be before killing him constitutes murder?”
Carl Sagan, 1934-1996

“Humans–who enslave, castrate, experiment on,
and fillet other animals–have had an understandable penchant
for pretending animals do not feel pain.
A sharp distinction between humans and ‘animals’ is essential if
we are to bend them to our will, make them work for us, wear them, eat them–
without any disquieting tinges of guilt or regret.
It is unseemly of us,
who often behave so unfeelingly toward other animals,
to contend that only humans can suffer.
The behavior of other animals renders such pretensions specious.
They are just too much like us.”
Carl Sagan

“Of all the creatures, man is the most detestable.
Of the entire brood, he’s the one that possesses malice.
He is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain.
The fact that man knows right from wrong proves his intellectual superiority to the other creatures;
but the fact that he can do wrong proves his moral inferiority to any creature that cannot.”
Mark Twain, 1835-1910

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine,
but will interest his patients in the care of the human body,
in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”
Thomas Edison, 1847-1965

Health care v. Sick care

With respect to health, do you have health care or sick care? Think about it.

If you have health care, your doctor educates you. He is a pillar in the community. He is an advocate and an activist. He remains interested in your health and well being. He invites you to free weekly webinars, allows you to schedule time to take a walk with him and ask questions, gives lectures, hosts conferences (to which he invites everyone not only medical professionals) and writes books. He is your mentor and educator. He empowers you to live a long, healthy life by eating properly and exercising. He is a courageous and progressive leader, speaks out, speaks up and states the Truth. He believes in transparency. He respects and practices his Hippocratic Oath, “first do no harm,” and does what is right instead of what is popular. He is concerned about your only body and our only home, planet earth. He practices and prescribes a plant based diet. He has reverence for all life.

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
Hippocrates, circa 460-370 BC

The soul is the same in all living creatures, although the body of each is different.”
Hippocrates

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine,
but will interest his patients in the care of the human body,
in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”
Thomas Edison, 1847-1965

“Nothing will benefit human health
and increase chances for survival of life on Earth
as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.”
Albert Einstein, 1879–1955
(If Einstein lived between 1970 and today, I trust he would advocate veganism.)

On the other hand, if you have sick care, your doctor lets you eat and do whatever you want. He is not active in the community nor is he an advocate or activist. He remains interested in prescribing drugs and doing procedures. He has no educational activities to offer. He is not your mentor or educator. He leads you to believe that degenerative diseases like cancer, heart disease, diabetes and autoimmune diseases; chronic illnesses like arthritis, acne, allergies, digestive disorders, impotence; joint pain, hearing aids, etc. are expected and normal parts of aging. He enables you to stay addicted to drugs, and dependent upon tests and procedures. He remains Silent on global matters. He gets paid based on the number of procedures he does and receives kick backs from Big Pharma to promote drugs. His salary increases with each sick patient.

We are moving towards a health care system for all in which all doctors get paid via Capitation, ie, all doctors get paid salaries that they retain entirely as long as all of their patients remain well. A portion of the salary is deducted for each sick patient. Accordingly, Capitation serves as Incentive for doctors to strive to achieve optimal health for all patients.

2020 Nonhuman Rights Legal Victories

May 21, 2020 marks an incredible victory in the animal liberation movement, and should certainly be recognized as an international holiday.

On May 21, 2020, the Islamabad High Court of Pakistan affirmed the rights of nonhuman beings and ordered the release of Kaavan (an Asian elephant held in solitary confinement at the Marghazar Zoo) to a sanctuary.

Chief Justice Athar Minallah stated that the global pandemic served as “an opportunity for humans to introspect and relate to the pain and distress suffered by other living beings” caused by the “arrogance” of human beings. Chief Justice Minallah stated that “zoos do not serve any purpose except to display their living inmates as exhibits to visitors.”

Chief Justice Minallah cited New York State Justice Alison Tuitt’s February 2020 decision in Happy the elephant’s case (on appeal by the Nonhuman Rights Project, counsel for Plaintiff Happy the elephant): “[Happy] is more than just a legal thing, or property. She is an intelligent, autonomous being who should be treated with respect and dignity, and who may be entitled to liberty.”

The Islamabad High Court is the second court outside the United States to cite Justice Tuitt’s February 2020 ruling, and the latest court to cite the New York Court of Appeals Judge Eugene Fahey’s rejection of chimpanzees’ legal “thinghood” in Nonhuman Rights Project’s chimpanzee rights cases of clients, Tommy, Kiko, Leo and Hercules.

The Eradication of World Hunger is Easy

We grow enough food to feed ten billion people.  Factory farming is an extremely inefficient industry.  If we stop using land, water and edible crops to feed nonhuman beings who are bred and killed for food, and we ate the crops, everyone in the world would have enough to eat.

We all know that factory farming is second only to fossil fuel usage as the cause of the climate and environmental crisis, but factory farming also wastes natural resources.

Factory farming uses about 75 percent (three quarters) of all agricultural land which is 30 percent of the land surface of the planet!  Accordingly, factory farming of nonhuman beings is the biggest cause of deforestation.

In addition to land, we use about ten times more fossil fuels (for transportation, etc.) to produce one calorie of nonhuman flesh, byproducts and secretions than one calorie of plant protein.  (Factory farming produces more greenhouse gas emissions than the entire transportation industry of the world.)

Third, regarding water,

to produce one pound of beef, we use 1,799 gallons of water;

to produce one pound of pork, we use 576 gallons of water;

to produce one pound of chicken, we use 468 gallons of water;

to produce one pound of soybeans, we use 216 gallons of water;

to produce one pound of corn, we use 108 gallons of water;

and to produce one egg, we use 53 gallons of water;

not to mention the use of fossil fuels for transportation.

A one quarter pound hamburger requires over 660 gallons of water to produce which is enough water to shower for two months.

Domestic water usage in the United States measures 5% compared to factory farming usage of 55%.

Approximately one billion people or 1/6 of the earth’s population do not have enough to eat, but 40 percent of the world’s grain is fed to livestock.

Grain (predominately corn and soy) that could feed the hungry human beings is used to quickly fatten up nonhuman beings in factory farms to grow big and fat and profitable.  The amount of grain that would feed 50 people produces one eight ounce steak.

As long as “Big Ag” pays more than developing countries for grain to feed nonhuman beings to slaughter for food because human beings in affluent countries have insatiable appetites for butter, cheese, ice cream, chicken, ham, bacon, sausage, etc., human starvation will continue.

Furthermore, with respect to sustainability, if the population continues to increase the way it has increased during the last few decades, we will not be able to produce enough nonhuman flesh, byproducts and secretions to sustain a diet of meat, fish, dairy and eggs in ten years.

If we all eat a plant based diet starting today, we refuse to support a system that perpetuates human starvation with our dollars, and fosters peace in the world and in our hearts and souls.

The Magic Anti-Aging Bullet

Telomeres, at the end of our chromosomes, protect chromosomes from deterioration and prevent our bodies from diseases.  Although telomeres naturally shorten as we age, there exits scientific evidence of ways to slow down the process because shorter telomeres are associated with degenerative diseases and chronic illnesses.

Telomeres (a sequence of DNA) form caps at both ends of each chromosome to protect the chromosome from fraying when it’s replicated.  When a cell divides, it replicates everything inside of it.  Without the protection of the telomeres, chromosomes get damaged and speed up the aging process that leads to cell death.

The good news is that chronological age must not parallel cell age.  In other words, we have control over this telomere shortening process with seven simple lifestyle choices, and we can stay young and healthy.

  1. Maintain a healthy BMI between 18 and 25 because obesity is an indicator of shorter telomeres.
  2. Exercise regularly (both aerobic and resistance) because exercise reduces oxidative stress and preserves DNA.
  3. Manage stress (exercise, meditate, paint, garden, etc.) because those who have stressful lives have shorter telomeres.
  4. Eat a plant based, ie, vegan (anti-aging) diet that excludes meat, fish, dairy and eggs because the antioxidants in a plant  based diet repel free radical molecules that cause cell damage and inflammation.
  5. Lower sodium and sugar intake, and remember Arnold’s nickname for white flour, white sugar and white rice from the  1980s bodybuilding years-white death!
  6. Take a B12 supplement.  Yes, every living being who does not drink water from a stream or river, or does not eat  vegetables from the ground that have remnants of dirt on them needs vitamin B12 because B12 is produced by bacteria in nature.
  7. Take chlorella to remove and detoxify heavy metals, boost antioxidants and supply your body with Omega 3s.

The Truth

ALL NONHUMAN BEINGS DESERVE THE RIGHTS TO LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE FREEDOM NOT TO BE USED AS RESOURCES OR COMMODITIES.  ALL LIFE DESERVES REVERENCE AND RESPECT.
I agree with the sentiments, words and ideas of wise historical figures as well as modern day personalities such as Buddha, Socrates, Hippocrates, Plato, Plutarch, Aristotle, Pythagoras, Voltaire, Leonardo da Vinci, Gandhi, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Charles Darwin, Henry David Thoreau, Leo Tolstoy, Mark Twain, Thomas Edison, George Bernard Shaw, Albert Schweitzer, HG Wells, Carl Sagan, The Dalai Lama and Sir Paul McCartney.  I remain honored to share the ideas of such an impressive class.
I also agree with the data and statistics of the World Health Organization; the United Nations; the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine; Neal Barnard, MD; Milton Mills, MD; The China Study; et al.
Over the last ten years, I have done the research and I have seen the live footage of countless undercover investigations with my own eyes.  I Know that a plant based diet, ie, veganism, can and will solve both the sickness and climate crises, eradicate world hunger, eliminate unnecessary torture and slaughter of 70 billion nonhuman beings who live on land and one trillion nonhuman beings who live in the sea every single year, and save our planet, our only home.  I Know that everything published on this website it True, and the Truth is quickly unraveling throughout the world.  I Know that many people wish to deny or ignore the Truth, but denial and ignorance cannot change it.

I need to consume dairy, but I’m lactose intolerant

Human beings do not “need” dairy, and there exists NO such thing as “lactose intolerance.”  Human beings are not baby cows and do not need to consume the secretions of other species.

A condition called “lactase persistence;” however, does exist.

“Mammals are born to drink milk…The milk sugar, lactose, is broken down by the enzyme, lactase.  In most cases, mammals stop producing lactase after weaning, but a nucleotide switch in their DNA can keep lactase flowing into adulthood, a trait called lactase persistence.”1

Mother cows who are mammals like human beings produce milk to feed their babies for the sole purpose of their baby calves gaining several hundred pounds.

Human beings normally digest lactose for the first five to seven years of their lives, but most other mammals stop producing lactase much earlier.  Cattle may be weaned from their mothers’ milk at six months to one year of age, and lambs are generally weaned around 16 weeks old.

Humans do not need cows’ milk any more than they need giraffes’ milk or zebras’ blood for a transfusion.  Sadly, baby calves who truly do need their mothers’ milk, are taken from their moms during the first twenty four hours of their lives because humans think they need it more…to drink with butter and egg laden pastries, and to eat cheese and ice cream.

The reason that human beings believe they need the milk of another species for calcium, etc. is because they are addicted to it and/or they have been programmed to think they need it by the dairy industry because the meat, fish, dairy and egg industries are the new tobacco industry.  (See Posts entitled, “What is our relationship with nonhuman beings?” “The Correlation between Tobacco and Big Ag” and “Sensory pleasure:  Big Ag (meat, fish, dairy, egg industries) verses Tobacco” herein.)

1“Evolution: It Does a Body Good,” The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), February 26, 2007.

What is our relationship with nonhuman beings?

Most human beings agree that nonhuman beings should be treated humanely, and they should not suffer unnecessarily.  Many human beings share their homes with dogs and cats who they treat like family members.  Many humans get upset when they see someone mistreat a dog or cat, and offer help because they understand the innocent victim is suffering and/or call law enforcement because they understand the mistreatment represents an illegal act.

Ironically, these same people support necessary suffering of nonhuman beings every day because laws protect and justify necessary suffering for human purposes.  Acts that warrant criminal charges when performed by private citizens and would certainly be regarded as torture if they were committed against human beings remain LEGAL as long as there exists a human purpose.

The food, clothing, research and experimentation, and entertainment industries all represent human purposes.  These industries unconscionably, cruelly and violently torture, mutilate and slaughter innocent lives for human purposes.  Although no isolated act of cruelty or violence against a nonhuman being can be condoned or minimized in any way, every single year, human beings support the cruel and violent treatment of approximately 70 billion nonhuman beings who live on land and one trillion nonhuman beings who live in the sea.  (All wars in the history of the world account for the loss of about one billion lives.)

To date, many human beings deny the Truth that is quickly unraveling because they refuse to educate themselves by watching live footage of the inside of factory farms or by visiting a slaughterhouse like the young medical doctor did in the story of The White Cow below.

Mothers cannot imagine what it would be like to have their newborn babies taken away from them.  As a result, they refuse to believe the Truth that standard industry practice separates mothers and babies within the first 24 hours of birth.  There exists a plethora of documentaries, YouTube videos, undercover investigations, interviews, et al. regarding this Traumatic Truth.

Every day, human beings are duped by Big Ag and Big Pharm into believing a ridiculous oxymoron like “humane treatment” exists.  (The definition of humane is “having or showing compassion or benevolence.”)  They believe the marketing and advertising slogans such as farm raised, grass fed and no antibiotics or hormones actually transform toxic substances into healthy foods exactly like they bought the marketing and advertising schemes of commercials of doctors, movie stars, athletes and housewives boasting of toasted, tasty, relaxing, refreshing, fashionable cigarettes from 1941 to 1971.  (See Posts entitled, “The Correlation between Tobacco and Big Ag” and “Sensory pleasure:  Big Ag (meat, fish, dairy, egg industries) verses Tobacco” herein.)

Unfortunately, whether we partake in this holocaust, we all continue to get swindled out of our money (due to the approximate 200% extra cost we all pay ) for the hidden medical and environmental costs of indulging in the flesh, byproducts and secretions of nonhuman beings for sensory pleasure.
